And in the meantime, it’s no big deal to just go back to the other older editing modes, and keep carrying on. Now, here’s the thing: given the pace at which they iterated and rolled this out, I imagine it’ll get fixed soon. Lately, that mode has been giving me some trouble: slow loads and even app hangs. In particular, there’s been a spate of development activity around (among other things) a dynamic (WYSIWYG) markdown mode, which is as far as I can tell implemented as a plugin (as are all the various editing modes). I’m writing this review not only to motivate you to buy it, but also because I strongly suspect the devs actually read this stuff, and I want to see it get better. I use it pretty much every work day, mostly for meeting notes, personal brainstorming, and half-finished writing that I want to get back to “later.” Oh, and markdown-aware, which is a great bonus. Ease of use, cross-platform, sync without giving up privacy, it’s in there. We want to make sure we're here, protecting your notes, for the next hundred years.įirst things first: this is a professional-quality app made by people who know what they’re doing.
